About the Faculty

Akdeniz University, Faculty of Sport Sciences engages in research, education and knowledge dissemination within the areas of wide-ranging expertise such as physical education teacher education, sports management, sports coaching and recreation, covering disciplines related to educational, social and health sciences. Our faculty offers opportunities to study at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels.

The breadth of our undergraduate courses, postgraduate programmes and research degrees attracts students from all over the country, and the education is of high international quality which gives the students competence for our modern society’s challenges and stimulates their personal development.

With access to high level teaching resources, equipments, sport and exercise facilities, Akdeniz University and Faculty of Sport Sciences offer both a unique student experience and a dynamic centre of research excellence.

The purpose is for the faculty to be established as one of the leading institution in Turkey and the world when it comes to the development and dissemination of knowledge about sports from different aspects.

Alongwith the programs offered in the faculty, a series of short courses and seminars are also arranged addressing the purpose of knowledge dissemination, often in association with other research environments or with sports foundations or sporting organizations.
